海德堡（Heidelberg）是德國巴登-符騰堡州的城市，位於斯圖加特和法蘭克福之間。2002年城市方圓109平方千米內有人口140,000。

海德堡坐落於內卡河畔。內卡河在此處由狹窄而陡峭的Odenwald山谷流向萊茵河河谷，並與萊茵河在海德堡西北20千米的曼海姆交匯。著名的海德堡城堡位於高出內卡河200米的 Königstuhl 山上，俯視狹長的海德堡老城。著名詩人歌德曾經漫步環繞城堡的公園。

Heidelberg [ˈhaɪdəlbɛʁk] is a city in south-west Germany. The fifth-largest city in the State of Baden-Württemberg after Stuttgart,Mannheim, Karlsruhe and Freiburg im Breisgau, Heidelberg is part of the densely-populated Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. In 2009, over 145,000 people lived in the city. Heidelberg lies on the River Neckar in a steep valley in the Odenwald.

A former residence of the Electoral Palatinate, Heidelberg is the location of the University of Heidelberg, well-known far beyond its and Germany's borders. Heidelberg is a popular tourist destination due to its romantic and picturesque cityscape, including Heidelberg Castle and the baroque style Old Town. The US Army has had a military base in Heidelberg since 1951.

黑森林是德國的旅遊勝地，因布穀鳥鐘、黑森林蛋糕、黑森林火腿、蜂蜜和豬肘等而出名。

地理

黑森林根據樹林分布稠密程度分為北部黑森林、中部黑森林和南部黑森林三部分。

北部黑森林，從巴登-巴登到弗羅伊登施塔特（Freudenstadt）。北部黑森林最為茂密，分布著大片由松樹和杉樹構成的原始森林，因為樹葉顏色深並且樹林分布密，遠遠望去呈現濃重的墨綠色。森林中還有些小湖，比如Mummelsee湖和Wildsee湖。

The Black Forest (German: Schwarzwald) is a wooded mountain range in Baden-Württemberg, southwestern Germany. It is bordered by the Rhine valley to the west and south. The highest peak is the Feldberg with an elevation of 1,493 metres (4,898 ft). The region is almost rectangular with a length of 200 km (120 mi) and breadth of 60 km (37 mi). Hence it has an area of approximately 12,000 km² (4,600 sq mi). The name Schwarzwald, i.e. Black Forest, goes back to the Romans who referred to the thickly forested mountains there as Silva Nigra, i.e. "Black Forest," because the dense growth of conifers in the forest blocked out most of the light inside the forest.

Titisee

Titisee is a lake in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. It is said it got its name from Roman Emperor Titus. It covers an area of 1.3 km² and has an average depth of 20 m.^{[citation needed]} It owes its creation to the Feldberg glacier, the moraine ploughed up by which in the Pleistocene epoch nowadays forms the lake's shores. The lake's outflow, at 840 m above sea level, is the river Gutach (or as it is called farther downstream, the Wutach). On the north shore lies the spa town of the same name, today a part of the municipality ofTitisee-Neustadt.

The city is known for its ancient university and its medieval minster, as well as for its high standard of living and advanced environmental practices. The city is situated in the heart of a major wine-growing region and serves as the primary tourist entry point to the scenic beauty of the Black Forest. According to meteorological statistics, the city is the sunniest and warmest in Germany.

Vitra Design Museum

The Vitra Design Museum is an internationally renowned, privately owned museum for design in Weil am Rhein, Germany.

Vitra CEO Rolf Fehlbaum founded the museum in 1989 as an independent private foundation. The Vitra corporation provides it with a financial subsidy, the use of Vitra architecture, and organisational cooperation.
